Apotheca PURE says:

If you have burning, stinging, itchy eczema and rosacea (like our founder), this lavender oil-infused "gel-balm" really lowers the irritating discomfort --- Castor bean oil has analgesic effects and is a rare, unique fatty acid. More spreadable than hard balms, the texture and benefits are superior to petroleum gel. Some of us love it as a lavender lip balm!

Occlusiderm provides a natural alternative to traditional petroleum-based occlusives, with stabilized castor bean oil and lavender essential oil to lock in moisture and address irritated, flaking, and stressed skin.

Ricinoleic acid, the active ingredient, acts as an antimicrobial, anti-irritant, and skin immunity booster.

This occlusive, spreadable anti-inflammatory balm is recommended following ablative cosmetic procedures, laser, IPL, skin needling, and dermabrasion for soothing, protection, and hydration.

Recommended for:
• Inflamed, shedding and dry skin
• Wound healing
• Post procedural treatments (Laser, IPL, Peels, Skin Needling, Microdermabrasion)
• Preventing inflammation and micro-scarring
• Acne/ Acne Vulgaris
• Rosacea / Eczema / Psoriasis

Castor Bean Oil
A vegetable-based oil containing 90% ricinoleic acid, an unusual fatty acid that inhibits the growth of many viruses, bacteria, yeasts, and moulds. For this reason, castor oil is recommended as an antimicrobial, for acneic skin, ringworm, keratoses, warts, scars, and fungal infections. Castor bean oil reduces inflammation and increases skin immunity.
Lavender Essential Oil
One of the gentlest essential oils to calm skin, it is also a powerful antibacterial agent to protect from post treatment infection.

Ricinus Communis Seed Oil, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Copernica Cerifera Cera Wax, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Glyceryl Rosinate, Olea Europaea Oil Unsaponifiables, Isoamyl Laurate, Squalene, Bisabolol, Lavandula Angustifolia Oil.
