wastewater has complex composition, large water quality changes, deep chroma and high concentration, and is difficult to treat. The treatment methods mainly include oxidation, adsorption, membrane separation, flocculation, biodegradation, etc. Each of these methods has its own advantages and disadvantages, in which activated carbon can effectively remove the chroma and COD of wastewater. Activated carbon treatment of wastewater has been studied at home and abroad, but most of them are coupled with other processes. Activated carbon adsorption is mostly used for advanced treatment or activated carbon as carrier and catalyst. There are few studies on the treatment of high concentration wastewater with activated carbon alone.

activated carbon has good decolorization effect on wastewater. The decolorization rate of dye wastewater increases with the increase of temperature, while the pH value has no great influence on the decolorization effect of dye wastewater.
